4th-5th Grade History Activity: Colonial Brochure

Travel back in time to when America was still young and just 13 colonies. While the 13 colonies had similarities they were also different in many ways in regard to politics, geography, climate, demographics, and economics.  In this activity, you are tasked with traveling up and down the coast and writing about three distinct regions: New England, middle colonies, and southern colonies to create a colonial brochure.

The first half of a detailed two-year survey of the history of the United States, this course takes students from the arrival of the first people in North America through the Civil War and Reconstruction.
